Doula services with Emily Suzuki of River Doula
riverdoula.com
I feel strongly that women (and their partners) should be supported during pregnancy and childbirth. Doulas are trained to physically and emotionally support the laboring woman as she births her baby. Having a doula takes the pressure off of the partner to be the labor 'coach', as the partner is also going through their own journey into parenthood. I highly recommend Emily as a doula - her gentle, intuitive, and wise presence was just what we needed. Be sure to consider the benefits of hiring a doula here.
Babywearing expertise with Rachel at QuirkyBaby
quirkybaby.com
We are very lucky to have Rachel of QuirkyBaby in our local community. She knows all things babywearing, so if you are curious about wraps, slings and other carriers, be sure to check her out at quirkybaby.com. One of the things I looked forward to during each pregnancy was the heart to heart connection of having my baby on my chest. Wraps and carriers allow you to do this while having your hands free to tend to other children, prepare meals, or just get out for a walk. Rachel offers kind, grounded, no-pressure guidance in finding the right carrier for you, or assistance if you already have a carrier but need some help with using it confidently.
Fitness Classes with Baby Boot Camp

Baby Boot Camp classes are a great way to get in a fantastic workout while meeting other mamas. I first started doing a similar workout after my first daughter was born. I loved being able to take my baby with me while I exercised, and it was really cool to see the older children copying their mamas and incorporating exercises into playtime. It's a wonderful community - not only do the mamas make new friends while getting in a good workout, but the children make friends as well. I highly recommend checking out our local Baby Boot Camp classes - they take place in Market Fair Mall four mornings a week. Your first class is free.
